On street parking

  • Free parking bays
    In some areas of Glasgow there is free on street parking where the length of stay and/or return time is limited.


  • Pay & Display

    In the busier areas of the city centre there is Pay and Display parking. Charges and maximum durations vary according to the zone. For further information please refer to the signs and/or the ticket machines.

    Payment for parking MUST be made at the time you park your vehicle.

     

    Outside the times of controlled parking you may park without payment in Pay & Display bays.

    Motorists are advised to carry a supply of coins as the ticket machines generally take 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins.

  • Residents' Priority Parking Zones in operation at various locations in the City Centre, Hillhead and Garnethill and West of City Centre.

  • Business parking permits – these are available in the area west of the city centre.

  • Motorcycle Parking is available in Cambridge Street & High Street Car Parks.  Designated motorcycle parking bays are also located on street throughout the city centre and are free of charge.
