Frequently Asked QuestionsWho can purchase a resident parking permit?A resident of a dwelling built or created by subdivision prior to 1 January 2000 who is the registered keeper of a vehicle registered at that address. Where on-road capacity allows, residents of dwellings created by the conversion of a building constructed prior to 1 January 2000 may also be eligible to purchase permits.How many residents parking permits per household?The number of resident parking permits per household is not restricted, except those in multiple occupation, as we recognise that some households require the use of more than 1 vehicle. A separate permit will be required for each vehicle. Can I get a residents permit for relatives?No. Not unless they reside at that address and have their car registered there. However, residents and hotel proprietors will be able to purchase visitor permits for their guests.Who can purchase a business parking permits?Any business located within one of the above mentioned zones can apply for a permit for that zone only. The permits are transferable between vehicles.How many business parking permits per business?There is no limit on the number of business parking permits for which a business may apply. However, the total number of business permits issued will be limited to ensure priority parking for residents.
