GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL (WOODLANDS)
(TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2007

 

Amendments have been made to the parking controls in Woodlands.

The amendments, which come into force on 1 August 2007, comprise the following:-

  • Business parking permits will be available to businesses located within the Woodlands zone, for use in that zone only.  Each permit costs £700 per annum with a limit on the number of permits available to ensure priority parking for residents.

  • Residents of dwellings created by the conversion of a building constructed prior to 1 January 2000 will be able to purchase resident parking permits where there is available on-road capacity.

  • Additional statutory disabled parking bays, for use by ‘blue badge’ holders only, will be introduced in the following roads – Dunearn Street, Woodlands Drive, West Prince’s Street, Carrington Street, Grant Street, Carnarvon Street, Baliol Street, Ashley Street, Willowbank Crescent, Arlington Street and Westend Park Street

  • The removal of a statutory disabled parking bay and a loading bay from the north end of Arlington Street and re-arrange the parking layout

  • The relocation of the bus bay in Carrington Street

  • The parking layout at the south end of Ashley Street will be altered to provide additional shared use bays.

Parking tariffs are as follows:-

  • Pay & Display (Mon - Sun, 8am - 10pm
    • 10p for first 30 mins
    • 10p for every 10 mins thereafter  (max stay  3 hours)
  • Resident parking permits
    • £50 annually
    • £15 quarterly
  • Resident’s Visitor permits
    • £2 for each 6 hour time period
      8am – 2pm
      12 noon – 6pm
      4pm – 10am
  • Business parking permits (from 1 August 2007)
    • £700 annually
