Route Description
The corridor extends along Battlefield Road from Grange Road south on Holmlea Road and Clarkston Road to the boundary with East Renfrewshire Council at Muirend Road. This corridor includes Spean Street and Sinclair Drive in Battlefield.
Implementation
The majority of works on this section are complete and works should be finished by April 2008.
The main elements of the scheme comprise:-
- the introduction of short term parking (pay and display meters) outside some shops
- improved access to bus stops
- amended waiting and loading restrictions
- improved pedestrian facilities
- junction improvements at Battlefield Rd / Holmlea Road
- junction improvements at Clarkston Road / Delvin Road
Initial Review
The initial review of the measures implemented will be undertaken after the scheme has been in operation for 6 months.
