Route Description
This corridor extends from Colston Road in the north, southwards via Balgrayhill Road and Atlas Road to its junction with Springburn Road. The corridor then continues in a southerly direction along Springburn Road to its junction with Royston Road in the City Centre.
Implementation
Works on the Springburn Road Streamline corridor were substantially completed in March 2006.
The main elements of the scheme comprise:-
- 125 metres of peak hour bus, taxi and cycle lanes operational Monday to Saturday from 7:00am to 9:30am and 4:00pm to 6:30pm:
- Atlas Road southbound between Angus Street and Flemington Road
- improved access to bus stops
- amended waiting and loading restrictions
- improved pedestrian facilities
- improved cycle facilities
Initial Review
The initial review (PDF 45k) of the measures implemented has been undertaken this corridor. The initial review report covering Springburn Road was circulated for stakeholder consultation in May 2007.
Following consideration of the feedback received from stakeholder consultation on the above report, the following amendments are being progressed.
