Aikenhead Road from Prospecthill Road to Hangingshaw Place (Ward 7)

Description: From Tuesday 8th May, a nearside lane closure will operate on Aikenhead Road northbound between Curtis Avenue and Prospecthill Road. This restriction will operate 24/7 in order to allow various utility companies access to their equipment. It is expected these works will last approximately 2 weeks. After that, Aikenhead Road will operate northbound lane closures as required by contractors during off-peak periods until the 22nd of June 2012.

Albert Road Bridge (Ward 8)

Description: A 7.5 tonne weight limit applies to Albert Road Bridge over the railway at Crosshill Station near the junction with Cathcart Road.

Battlefield Road between Holmlea Road and Lochleven Road (Ward 7)

Dates: The works will take place between 0930 hrs and 1500 hrs on Monday 21st May.

Description: In order to carry out carriageway patching, Battlefield Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction, between Holmlea Road and Lochleven Road.

Description: A 17 tonne weight limit applies to the bridge over the Auldhouse Burn between Hopeman Road and Crebar Street.

Description: A 3 tonne weight limit applies between Kilmarnock Road and Tinto Road due to a weak bridge at that point. The road has also been narrowed to allow only cars to use the bridge.
