The facilities for up to 950 pupils at the school have improved significantly through the refurbishment and extension of Hyndland Secondary School
The extension provides additional general classrooms, new library, games hall, social space, dining and kitchen
In the general refurbishment of the existing School building, the works included provision of a rationalised suite of 6 ICT Classrooms and 12 Faculty Bases
The most significant difference since refurbishment has been the roofing of the school courtyard – offering better social space and easier, all weather links between the two school buildings. Improved school entrances and the refurbishment of 24 general classrooms all ensure a good environment for its pupils
A library and IT Learning Centre are at the heart of the school, offering pupils and teachers an opportunity to make the most of Internet technology
In addition the school now has:

• 6 dedicated ICT teaching areas
• 3 home economics rooms
• 8 science labs
• 4 technical rooms
• 4 art and design rooms
• 2 music rooms
• a drama studio
• 2 gymnasia

Physical education facilities have also improved with 4 indoor physical education areas and a synthetic outdoor pitch
