Education Priorities
Glasgow City Council aims to maximise the learning potential of all the young people of Glasgow, to provide education and support of the highest quality to all, and to do so in a spirit of partnership and consultation.

Education Provision

The Education Department provides an education service through:

• 29 Secondary schools
• 169 Primary schools
• 34 Special Educational Needs Schools along with 16 special needs units
• Glasgow Gaelic School - 3 - 18 provision
• 126 Pre-5 Establishments -  Free part-time early years education places are available for all pre-school and ante pre-school year children
