Customised School
Hazelwood is a unique purpose built school for children with sensory and dual sensory impairment.

The school capacity is to provide for a maximum of 60 pupils who will be supported by 50 staff.

The customised design of the school is the product of a high degree of collaboration amongst parents, staff, associated agencies and the architects, Murray Dunlop.

School Interior
The interior of the school has been aimed at maximising independence and providing the optimum learning environment. This ensures a secure and highly stimulating educational experience for all the pupils. The physical location provides a natural and easily accessible range of outdoor activities.

The layout of  the classrooms provides for a sense of progression through the stages from pre 5 to senior school.

Life Skills House

The inclusion of a Life Skills House on the campus is an essential component of the educational experience as it will provide a natural environment for the pupils to progress in their independent living skills with social day programmes related to the curriculum.
