It will be designed in a manner which nurtures the values and skills of personal and community safety, citizenship and social cohesion, and health and well-being in children, young people and vulnerable groups. The Safetown Team are currently in the first phase of development which involves:
- Consultation
- Funding
- Programme development
When fully operational, Safetown will give children, young people, families and vulnerable individuals, particularly those living in deprived communities, the skills to avoid accidents, prevent fires and deal safely with other potentially hazardous situations.
