The City Council responds to many routine flooding incidents every year, but Land Services and Building Services both also respond to serious flooding at the request of the Emergencies Planning Unit in times of serious flooding.
Parts of Glasgow which are known to be vulnerable to flooding are protected with pre-located sandbags during the winter months, thus giving Council Services a head start to the response should flooding occur.
