In the Event of an Accident

 

If you are involved in an accident which causes damage or injury to another person, another vehicle, property or animal you are required by law to:

1. Stop and exchange details with the third party involved

2. Inform the police as soon as possible or within 24 hours if someone is injured, or if you are unable to exchange particulars with the third party

Exchange your name, address and car registration to anyone who has reasonable grounds to require them.

4. Produce your insurance details to anyone reasonably requiring them at the scene, or to the police when reporting the amdent

5. Obtain the names and addresses of any independent witnesses

If the police attend you should obtain the officer’s name, number and station.
