Kilmun Street is in Maryhill in the north west of Glasgow. The bombing incident there was one of the worst incidents in Glasgow. (These incidents were widely scattered over the city and most of them cannot be connected with any particular target.)
Most of the documents in this section come from two sources:
- the large collection of day-to-day documentation which survives in the City Archives from the city’s Civil Defence Department. This kind of documentation was rarely preserved elsewhere.
- a series of interviews made in 1984 with survivors of the Kilmun Street incident. These have been transcribed and edited under broad subject headings.
