Kilmun Street was hit by a high explosive bomb on the night of 14 March 1941, the second night of the heavy bombing of Clydeside. There is no reason to believe that there was any particular target in the area.
Most of the damage to Glasgow on these nights was on the west side of the city and Kilmun Street is only four miles from Clydebank, which took the most concentrated bombing.
