Get Glasgow Reading is all about adults making time to read with children, whether it's a five minute bedtime story or a trip to the local library.

There will also be a series of events and storytimes in every Glasgow library, class visits to libraries and lots of new books for all ages to borrow.

As well as being food for the imagination, early reading has a major impact on childrens development and behavior. Also Learning to read is the single-most important factor in a child's success at school.

Libraries play a key role in early literacy development. Bounce n' Rhyme Sessions, Bookstart and Storytimes are just some of the fun and exciting learning opportunities that Glasgow Libraries provide for children and their families.
