Ok, you probably know this, but here's a super quick guide to how our books are arranged -

Fiction/story books are arranged alphabetically by the author's surname - simply scan the book shelves for 'D' if for example you're looking for books by the wonderful Roald Dahl .

Non-Fiction/Fact books are a bit trickier, as each subject has its own number.
To find out the number for your subject, look for our 'Code Cracker/Subject Index' - on display in every children's library section.
It lists loads of popular subjects alphabetically with their 'Dewey' number. Then, check the shelves for the number given, to find your subject.

We keep our picture books in 'kinderboxes' to allow you and your child to have a good rummage through.

Ask about our 'request a book' service if you can't find the book you want....we will do our best to get the book for you as quickly as possible.
