National Children's Book Week -1 October 2007...
A great chance to focus on the enjoyment of reading, we aim to encourage as many children as possible to get into books.
Games, storytelling, displays and quizzes help get the message across that books are fun!

National Poetry Day - Thursday, October 4th
Promotes the richness, variety and sheer fun of poetry of all kinds. This year's theme is 'DREAMS'
We invite you to celebrate National Poetry Day - featuring poetry book displays, readings from funny, famous and fabulous poems, plus quizzes and a chance to share your favourite poem.

National Tell a Story Day- Friday, 26th October
Scotland's 'National Tell a Story Day' gives children and adults a chance to share stories with each other. Libraries will host storytelling, displays, games and quizzes to create a real 'buzz' to the day.
