Research Services at The Mitchell

For readers who are unable to visit, library staff can provide basic information about our collections.   This service will normally be free of charge. We can also undertake some limited research on your behalf.

Photographic Service

The Photographic/Digitisation Unit, based in The Mitchell, provides a public copy service.  Our staff can supply copies in various formats from the majority of library and archive material, except any which might be in our opinion unsuitable for copying.
