Evening Times Roll of Honour

During the First World War, the Evening Times newspaper printed short biographies of service personnel who were reported lost, missing or wounded.

Most of these biographies were accompanied by a photograph of these long-gone heroes, often now the only one that exists.

The Mitchell has produced indexes to these entries as a valuable addition to their Family History resources.

There are 2 indexes: (1) The Evening Times Roll of Honour 1914 and 1915 which is now complete and (2) The Evening Times Roll of Honour 1916-1918 which will continue to be updated regularly.

(1) ET Roll of Honour 1914 - 15
(PDF,975kb, 292pp)

(2) ET Roll of Honour 1916-1918
(PDF, 423kb,203pp)

These lists are available to view in PDF format and you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them. This Reader can be freely downloaded from the Adobe web site.

If you are looking for someone who is not yet included, please revisit this page as the 1916 -1918 index will be updated regularly.
