Jobs Online

Useful sites to check if you're looking for a job

If you're looking for a job, remember only around 25% of all vacancies are advertised.  Look for jobs:

  • in newspapers, magazines and specialist journals
  • through recruitment agencies
  • in JobCentre Plus offices

Also try the 'direct approach' - go and ask employers if they have, or may have, vacancies.  Use the Yellow Pages and Thomson's Local to find employers and look/listen out for adverts on TV and radio.  Networking - using personal contacts - is also a very good way of getting a job.
