Building Plans for Glasgow from 1885 until the present day

Building Control (formerly Dean of Guild Court)

 

 

Archives and Special Collections hold the surviving plans submitted to the local authorities for building control permission.  These date from 1870 until the present day and include:

 

  • Glasgow
    • Plans, 1885 - present day
    • Building warrants, 1964 - 1981
  • Dunbartonshire, 1900-1938
  • Lanarkshire, 1930-1975
  • Renfrewshsire, 1919-1925

 

Please note:  plans for Dunbartonshire, Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire relate ONLY to those areas which have subsequently become part of Glasgow City.
