Scottish Parliament Information Centres (SPICE)

SPICE brings the Scottish Parliament to a library near you.

The Scottish Parliament has established a network of 80 Partner Libraries throughout Scotland - a unique and innovative scheme, which allows you to read the latest publications, find out what MSPs have said in debates and learn how parliamentary decisions affect you.

There is a partner library in each of Glasgow's nine constituencies, holding a selection of Scottish Parliament publications.

The Mitchell is the main documentation centre for Glasgow and has a far more comprehensive range of material.  This information is drawn from the Parliament's own information sources, making it accurate, authoritative and up-to-date.

Internet Access

Most partner libraries provide Internet facilities for the public.  The Scottish Parliament web site provides a comprehensive record of the latest news and developments.  You can contact your MSP directly by e-mail from your library.

Children and Young People

Partner libraries are an excellent source of information for both primary and secondary school projects. Resources include: wall charts, study packs and Standard Grade revision notes.
