Over the years The Mitchell Library has acquired many exceptional items, either by donation or purchase.

The oldest treasures in The Mitchell are medieval manuscripts, including some Books of Hours.

To access material in Special Collections you will need to bring proof of identification showing name, address and signature e.g. a driving license.
