What can I borrow?
You can use your library card in any of our City libraries.
Adults, including Young Scot Card holders (aged 14-18) can borrow :
a charge is made for the hire of all CDs, feature films and DVDs with concessionary rates available.

How long can I borrow items?
You can borrow most books and information videos for four weeks. If items have been requested by another customer you may be asked to return them within two weeks.
CDs, DVDs and videos can all be borrowed for one week.
A charge is made for any items returned overdue, although young people under the age of 14 are exempt.
You can return all items to any of our libraries throughout the city.
How do I renew items?
If you wish to keep an item for longer than the usual loan period you can renew it by telephone, by post, or in person, provided it has not been requested by anyone else.
Items can be renewed by telephone or post - just quote your library card number and the item number.

Can I reserve items?
Contact any community library if you would like to reserve a particular item.

If you reserve items at your local library you'll be contacted when they're available, either by postcard or telephone. If you reserve online, check your account to find out when an item is available for collection.
