Deatils of orienteering in Springburn Park, Tollcross Park and Victoria Park

Should you wish to try orienteering, as a group, or a family or just by yourself then pick up your map pack from one of the main sports centres throughout the city at a cost of £1.00. 


Springburn ParkSpringburn Park – Springburn G21.(Grid Ref. NS 610 685)

The course starts and finishes at the Sir James Reid Statue in the centre of the park and heads south through 10 controls marked by wooden posts. Each post carries a number which corresponds to the number given on the map pack. Allow about 40 minutes to walk round the course.


Tollcross Park Tollcross Park – Shettleston G32. (Grid Ref. NS 635 635)

The course starts and finishes at the front entrance to the leisure centre adjacent to the play area and heads in a north easterly direction following 16 controls marked by wooden posts. Each post carries a number which corresponds to the number on the map pack. It should take approximately 60 minutes to walk the course.
First Aid can be found at the leisure centre at the start and finish point.


Victoria ParkVictoria Park – Whiteinch G14. (Grid Ref. NS 541 672)

Starting and finishing at the entrance to the bowling greens the course heads off west through 10 controls marked by wooden posts. Each post carries a number relating to the number on the map pack. The course should take around 30 minutes to walk round.
