Why Walk?
Lack of physical activity is one of the biggest causes of illness and death in Scotland. Keeping active however provides a range of benefits to both an individual's physical and mental health. This includes:
- Reduced risk of developing heart disease
- Reduced risk of stroke
- Reduced risk of developing certain types of cancer
- Improved self esteem and confidence
Walking is one of the easiest ways to get active!
