A New Record.
Over 3,300 runners took part in the 2009 Glasgow Santa Dash.
The thousands of runners had an early morning start with the temperature sitting around minus two centigrade however they soon warmed when the race started at 9:30am.
The runners headed out of George Square onto Buchanan Street, then joined Saint Vincent Street and its gentle slope as they headed west towards Finnieston Street. After reaching Clyde Street they headed along towards the Broomielaw and then joined Argyle Street. The route then took them up Buchanan Street before heading back into George Square to a massive supporting crowd.
