Tollcross Children's Farm - Educational Tours

Set in the East end of Glasgow, the farm provides a home to many species of domestic farmyard favourites, such as pigs, sheep, horses, ponies, birds and rabbits.

Tollcross Children’s Farm

Tollcross Children’s Farm is located within the Courtyard Complex in Tollcross Park.

Whilst being considered domestic, many of the breeds on show at Tollcross are in fact listed as rare, such as the Castlemilk Moorit and Boreray Sheep.

The farm provides the ideal opportunity for many inner city children, through school visits, to learn more about countryside life. Children get the opportunity to experience contact with many animals that may be unfamiliar to them, to gain a better understanding of the animals and the produce they provide us with.

From the inside of the classroom it can be difficult for children to gain a real understanding of the relevance of farming and livestock; the farm brings these subjects to life.
