White Cart Wander

Join the Countryside Rangers as we walk along the White Cart Water to Jenny’s Well – taking in the peaceful countryside abreast the banks on the way. Once there, we will be joined by the Rangers from Renfrewshire Council who will guide us around the spots of beauty to be found there. Return transport will be provided. The Return of the Magnificent Seven – ‘A Spring In Your Step’
Location: Linn Park

Join our Countryside Rangers each season for a circular walk on the Southside of Glasgow. Leaving from Linn Park, through Kings Park, on to Castlemilk Woods and Cathkin Braes. Here we will stop for lunch and enjoy the magnificent view of Glasgow. We then head across the braes to Windlaw Marsh, into Carnbooth Woods and returning through Netherton Braes back to Linn Park.
This walk is best suited to regular walkers with good footwear. There will be a limited number of places so please book as early as possible. Phone the Countryside Rangers on 0141 276 0931.

Ever wondered what kind of edible wee, wild goodies you can find whilst simply going for a walk along a country lane or down by a river? Now’s your chance as this event will give you an insight into the vast array of free ingredients from plants which can be used in everyday cooking. Meeting at the Peoples’s Palace, Glasgow Green at 1.30pm. Countryside Rangers will be leading the event and advising what to pick, where and when to get it and how to use it. Popping down to the supermarket to ‘Get it fresh’ will never be the same again!
