Event:     Pollok Family Day
Location: Pollok Country Park
Time:     10.00am - 5.00pm


You are invited to come along to Pollok Country Park and enjoy the 30th Anniversary of this great day out for all the family.  There will be several arenas throughout Glasgow’s largest park with a range of entertainment and activities which promise something for everyone.

Event:     Creatures of the Deep
Location: Festival Park Pond
Time:     1.30pm - 3.30pm


Cyclops, Water Scorpions, Leeches and Stickleback and an army of other underwater critters lurk in the watery depths.  Are you brave enough to take a closer look at these mysterious creatures?  If so, join our drop in session at the Festival Park Pond opposite the Science Centre for a fun time that all the family can enjoy. Wellies recommended.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Event:     Farm Open Day
Location: Tollcross Children's Farm
Time:     12.00pm - 3.30pm


Come on down to the Children’s Farm at Tollcross Park for a fun filled day of music and games, balloon sculpture and face painting and much more.  This event is particularly suitable for families with young children.

Location: Garscadden Woods

Friday 29th - Bat Night – Kelvingrove Park
Saturday 30th - Bat Night – Linn Park
Sunday 31st - Bat Night – Pollok Country Park



This is the European Bat weekend so why don't you join the Countryside Rangers for a walk after dark, armed with bat detectors and torches we will go in search of these elusive creatures.  Not suitable for children under 8 years old and older children must be accompanied by an adult. 

Insect repellent and torches recommended.  Very popular, booking essential - please phone 0141 276 0924 for further information and to reserve your place.



cattle
Date:      Saturday 30th August 
Event:     West of Scotland Highland Cattle Club Show
Location: Pollok Country Park
Time:     10.00am - 12.30pm


Pollok Country Park will once again host this events.  Come along and watch local breeders prepare their animals for the show ring and exhibit them in front of the highland Cattle Judge. Judging starts at approximately 10.30am in the Bothy Field.
