Countryside Events in February

Date:  Saturday 9th February
Event: Late Winter on Windlaw

Join the Countryside Rangers and Starling Learning for this second seasonal walk on Windlaw Marsh.  Nine weeks on from December’s walk, we’ll be looking to see changes in the land and the birds that are dependent on it.  Discover how the conservation programme is progressing and assist us at the feeding stations.  Walk duration is approximately 2 to 3 hours.  Bring your binoculars, though some will be available if required.  Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

For further details and to book your place, please contact the Countryside Rangers on 0141 763 1863.

Date:  Sunday 10th February
Event: Boxes to Order
Location: Kelvingrove Park

Join the Countryside Rangers at Kelvingrove Park during BTO’s National Nest Box Week.  Continuing the RSPB’s and Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Museum Project, we are looking to build on the success of last spring when a bird feeding station was created and new nesting boxes put up around the park, complete with cameras to watch the bird’s antics in spring.  Take part in this initiative and build on the good work that’s been done.
