Wild In The City 12.00 - 4.00pm

The Countryside Rangers are going Wild in the City throughout July.  Keep an eye out for them mid-week in the parks listed below.  There will be lots of activities to try your hand at – it’s fun & free for all the family!  Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.




Fossil Grove
Event:     Fossil Grove Day
Date:      Sunday 13th July
Location: Victoria Park
Time:     1.00pm-3.00pm


Travel back 300 million years with a tour of the ancient fossil trees within fossil grove. Jump back to the present with a tour of Victoria Park. Follow the signs from the park entrances to the Fossil Grove meeting point.

Event:     The Magnificent Seven - ‘Hazy Summer Days’
Date:      Sunday 20th July

Join the Countryside Rangers for a Summer walk around some of Glasgow’s finest sites

This walk is best suited to regular walkers with good footwear. There will be a limited number of places so please book as early as possible. Phone the Countryside Rangers on 0141 276 0931.

Whether you choose to sample the best live music in the People’s Palace gardens, witness the spectacular main arena acts in the shadow of the MacLennan Arch or simply enjoy the spectacular floral displays, there really is something for everyone
