The Big Clyde Walk
Location: River Clyde


Get your boots on for this all day hike from Glasgow Green to Blantyre Farm along the Magnificent River Clyde. Despite suffering industrial pollution in the past, the Clyde is a fantastic place for spotting wildlife. This event is suitable for fit and active walkers.

As part of the BBC's Breathing Places Campaign, Glasgow City Council is hosting this free event for all the family. This is the finale of a Year of Action to help make Glasgow a greener city by getting everyone to Do One Thing for wildlife. This is your chance to make a difference.

Ever wondered how we get wool from sheep?
Come along to the Children’s Farm at Tollcross Park and see a demonstration of sheep shearing (running throughout the day) plus various country craft demonstrations, face painting and balloon sculpture for the kiddies.

Location: Robroyston LNR
Time:     12.00pm - 3.00pm


The school holidays have just started, right on time to join the first LNR day of the year.  “Wetlands and Insects” is the theme for this year’s LNR day at Robroyston and we will be looking at the insects and wildlife that live in and around the ponds and woodland/meadow areas. There will be different activities for all the family that include minibeast hunts, pond-dipping, nature crafts and quizzes.
