Gardening Talks at Pollok Country Park

 

This series of talks has been designed as an introduction to the fascinating world of horticulture.  


These talks, taking place throughout the year, are given by garden staff from the Country Park and guest speakers from Land and Environmental Services, Glasgow City Council. They are held at the Visitor Centre in the Old Stable Courtyard. Call 0141 276 0924 for further details.

    A look at the growing methods used to produce these vegetables for
    household and exhibition use.
    Presented by Jim Rae, Pollok Country Park.

  • Lawns

    Learn how to create a new lawn and how to maintain it once established.
    Presented by Susan Boyd, Pollok Country Park.

  • Planting of Baskets and Containers For Spring

    The planning, preparation and planting of hanging baskets and containers for the Spring season. Presented by Alex Reynolds, Nurseries Section.
