Gardening in Glasgow
Glasgow proudly boasts of its many fine Parks but it’s not just the public parks and gardens that contribute to the City’s green landscape.
Residents in many areas of the city enjoy the benefits of having their own garden and big or small this space can provide opportunities for growing a colourful selection of plants and be a haven for wildlife. Equally important is their contribution to improvement of air quality and their ability to provide visual screens and sound barriers.
Over the months, these pages will provide some topical tips to help you enjoy your gardening, increase your colourful garden displays and maybe even encourage you to grow some fresh vegetables for the kitchen!
For advice on work you should be doing in the garden month by month, visit these pages on a regular basis.
Gardening information is also available at Pollok Country Park where a programme of talks and demonstrations are held in the walled garden.
