The Park Ranger Service
The Park Ranger Service provides a high profile patrol service within the parks and cemeteries in the city, helping to make your visit a safe and enjoyable one.
There are rangers based in several parks and some of the services they provide include:
- guided walks within the parks
- information to visitors to our parks
- liaison with local community groups and other like-minded bodies to help address issues and potential problems as they arise
- mobile patrols of smaller locations and cemeteries providing a safe environment for visitors

Guided Walks
The guided walks assist in introducing the public to the wealth of history attached to our parks. These walks have proved to be popular with groups of all ages ranging from primary schools on project work to adult groups who enjoy the parks and want to learn more about the background and history of the parks.
