Glasgow's trees

Glasgow’s Trees are a vital component of the City’s landscape and play an important role within the urban environment. Our trees and woodlands provide the framework for the sustainability of much of the City’s diverse flora and fauna. Equally important is their contribution to improvement of air quality and their ability to provide visual screens and sound barriers.

Tree cover across the City is important. Whether growing in Parks, open spaces, woodlands, private gardens or on street and road verges, trees make a major contribution to the City’s landscape.

Should you require advice or information about trees in the City, Land and Environmental Services has a team of officers who have a wide and extensive knowledge of management of trees in the urban situation.
