Glasshouse Venue Hire

 

 

The following glasshouses are available for hire:

  • Winter Gardens, Tollcross Park

    Situated in the heart of Tollcross Park this is a unique venue for a smaller event.  The Glasshouse is a “B” listed 19th century property with a curvilinear iron structure of exquisite design and form. It has been recently refurbished with the support of Historic Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund.      Tollcross Glasshouse
    The hothouses are home to many colourful and exotic plant species. The building also houses a children’s play area and Café.

    The maximum capacity for the venue is 100 seated or  150 non-seated guests.

  • The Glasshouse, Queen's Park

    Situated within Queens Park, dedicated to the memory of Mary, Queen of Scots, the Nursery and Display House offers an unusual venue for any event, be it a conference, wedding or display.   Queen's Park Glasshouse
    The fabulous structure houses a café, Zen garden, ponds, tropical fish, exotic birds and an excellent reptile house.  It also has a fine collection of sub-tropical plants and many types of flowering and foliage plants.   

    The maximum capacity for the venue is 100 seated or  250 non-seated guests.

  • Winter Gardens, Glasgow Green

    Situated within Glasgow Green and attached to the People's Palace, the stunning Winter Gardens are housed in an elegant Victorian glasshouse built in 1898 for the benefit of the industrial working people of the east end of Glasgow.     Winter Gardens
    Over the years, the Winter Gardens have hosted corporate dinners, award ceremonies and weddings.  The venue is also used as a VIP area for guests at events taking place within the park.

    The maximum capacity for the venue is 200 seated or 450 non-seated guests.

  • Kibble Palace, Botanic Gardens

    The recently refurbished Kibble Palace, situated within the Botanic Gardens, is one of the most prestigious iron and glass structures remaining from the Victorian era.  The Kibble Palace is home to a marvellous collection of marble statues as well as temperate plants from around the world including the national collection of Australasian tree ferns which have grown there for the last 120 years.     The Kibble Palace is an important and unique glasshouse of its type and takes the form of a large dome and rotunda connected to a smaller dome by a link corridor. The small dome forms the main entrance area and attached to the north and south is extended transepts. 

    The maximum capacity for the venue is 160 seated or  200 non-seated guests.
