Awards
Following assessment by the judging panels, awards are made each year to the rose varieties receiving the highest points.
‘The Lord Provosts Cup’ - awarded annually to the rose variety receiving the highest points.
Gold Medal and Silver Medals - awarded to the runners up.
Tollcross Fragrance Prize - awarded annually to the variety judged to be the most fragrant.
Best Established Rose - A special award, provided by the Incorporation of Gardeners of Glasgow is made to the most meritorious rose variety established within the trials for ten years.
The Peoples Choice - Members of the public are also involved in judging the roses. Each year the title of ‘The People’s Choice’ is awarded to the rose variety receiving most votes in a competition in which visiting members of the public can nominate their favourite among the roses on trial.
