Brand New Gym Now Open

The refurbishment of Bellahouston Leisure Centre's fitness suite is now complete so why not pay a visit to the fantastic facilities and enjoy a work-out in style?

There are 75 pieces of equipment (100 stations including mats etc) with many including personal viewing screens. The new PRECOR equipment is more user-friendly and reliable than any equipment we've had before.

In addition to the fantastic new air conditioning system, the gym desk has been moved outside the fitness suite itself and equipment has been spaced out.  All this makes for wider walkways and a more comfortable gym session. You'll also find more equipment on the balcony at the rear of the fitness suite.

We've added a BOSU ball (pictured right - a unique and multidimensional training device that integrates: Core Training, Functional Sports Training, and Balance Training.

We've also added a PowerPlate machine (pictured left) which delivers fast strength and toning results. Free trials are available until the end of January and you can then purchase sessions or blocks of multiple sessions from the gym team.

We now have three matted areas in front of mirrors (see picture below). This area is perfect for stretching before/after using the equipment or just to improve your flexibility; also for abdominal exercises and free-weight workouts.
