Glasgow Community and Safety Services

Glasgow Community and Safety Services (GCSS) is a limited company with charitable status, established by Glasgow City Council and Strathclyde Police. The aim of the organisation is to prevent crime, tackle antisocial behaviour and promote community safety in the city. It brings together around 500 staff from Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police, Satrathclyde Fire and Rescue and Glasgow's Community Safety Partnership.

GCSS provides a wide and varied range of services that work towards achieving the organisation's key objectives:

• reducing antisocial behaviour and crime 
• to increase prevention and diversion opportunities for young people
• to make Glasgow a cleaner place
• to provide community reassurance in relation to antisocial behaviour and crime
• reducing violence against women
