Domestic abuse covers mental, physical, sexual or financial abuse resulting from a relationship.

If you're in need of help with housing because you're experiencing or threatened with domestic abuse or violence you can contact:

• your local Community Health and Care Partnerships office who can help if you are experiencing domestic abuse.
• Glasgow Women's Aid which offers advice, support and temporary accommodation to women, with and without children, who have been abused.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, you may need help while still in an abusive relationship, while you are planning to leave or once you have left. Glasgow City Council can offer you the chance to talk about your situation and can give information on possible options along with information and advice on:

• finance and welfare benefits
• support services for children and young people
• local counselling services and projects
• housing
• community support services

Glasgow City Council will put you in touch with other Council Services and other agencies who can provide help.
