Repair grants
The table shows the proportion of approved costs that a grant can pay for after means testing. For example if you are entitled to a grant for lead pipe replacement work, you qualify for a minimum of 50 per cent of the cost of the work, regardless of your income. However, if you qualify for a stonework grant, you could get nothing if your income is too high.
If improvements are needed on a tenement block that includes shops on the ground floor, the shops may be eligible for a grant of 50 to 80 per cent of the approved costs.
The Council provides improvement grants for a range of different purposes. Funds are limited so priority is given to applicants in greatest need and will be means tested .
