This inspiring and exciting week long workshop focuses on creativity, imagination and fun. Developed around the theme of The Street and led by creative education professionals, the workshop encourages children to examine their built environment and design what they would like it to be. The week will see participants take part in activities such as treasure hunts, drawing, photography, filming, modelling, den building, design, construction and site visits. It all culminates in a street party for parents and guests, taking place in the fantasy street designed and built by the children.
Children will make new friends, explore the city of Glasgow, use their creativity and work together to create something beautiful, weird, wonderful or even scary.
Including Large scale building and the whole of The Lighthouse as inspiration, this is sure to be a highly engaging experience for young designers that will have a lasting impact.
