CoSLA
The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (CoSLA) is an organisation which aims to support local government in Scotland. One of its key roles is to represent the views of its membership (which consists of 31 of the 32 existing Scottish local authorities) to the Scottish Parliament and Executive. CoSLA is based in Edinburgh and employs a number of professional staff with experience of local government.
Each Council elects representatives to the Convention and they meet on a regular basis throughout the year. Glasgow City Council has 8 representatives to CoSLA. The Council has still to nominate its representatives.
