I have a great passion for Glasgow and its history. I see us as being the most progressive and forward thinking city in Europe and I am delighted to be part of the decision making team to take us forward to a new regenerated and vibrant city.

We only have to look at the fact that our city-centre shops are second only to London to realise the base we have to work with. Our night-life offers incredible diversity to suit all ages, and our parks and gardens certainly are worthy of the title Dear Green Place.

I am currently the Chair of the Dennistoun Residents Association and I have a strong commitment to all local issues. To ensure Dennistoun is taken to a hightened level of local expectation, I will be looking at all avenues with great enthusiasm and determination, my areas will include schools, planning, refuse collection, licensing, environmental health, trading standards, building control and the problem of anti-social behaviour and youth disorder.

Personal Interests

I am a family man with my partner Annette and two daughters, Lauren who is four and a half and Heather who is two and a half. I have lived in Dennistoun for over 25 years now and enjoy the full Glasgow experience.

My main methods of relaxation are attending the theatre and listening to classical concerts as well as family days out.

I fully support the old values of looking out for your neighbour and getting involved with your community, as we continue to see the regeneration of the city and the increasing desirability of Dennistoun we can look forward to a much more positive and bright future.

If you require to talk to me you can contact me at my surgeries or just phone the City Chambers on 0141 287 5262
