Children's Services Executive Group

Improving outcomes for Glasgow's children and young people requires collective strategic leadership from all of the key services and agencies. This is achieved through the Children's Services Executive Group whose membership includes representatives from all key partner agencies and organisations in the City

The Children's Services Executive Group has the following role:

  • Establish a clear vision and strategic framework for services to children, young people and families in the City
  • Ensure ownership of the Child and Family Services Plan strategically, operationally within and across all services to children and families in the City
  • Ensure engagement with and involvement of children, young people, parents, carers and communities in identifying and responding to their priorities and needs
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Child and Family Services Plan
  • Promote interagency working among the three children's services locality planning groups to ensure local delivery and accountability for improving outcomes

In May 2011, the Children's Services Executive Group agreed new planning arrangements for children services. The arrangements are designed to ensure the delivery of co-ordinated activity across the city through integrated planning and performance reporting.

Listening to Glasgow's Children and Young People Framework Steering Group
This steering group has been established to implement the framework and develop processes to collate what children and young people tell us in a way that is meaningful and influences the planning of children's services.
