Statutory Performance Indicators
In September each year, the Council publishes its Statutory Performance Indicators (SPIs). There are over 100 SPIs, covering a wide range of council services from the provision of home help services to the number of noise complaints dealt with by the Council. The SPIs are set by the Accounts Commission for Scotland and have to be published by every council. The aim of the indicators is to give basic information to every citizen on how their council is performing.
The most recently published indicators cover the year 2007-8 and are set out below (comparative information for 2005-6 and 2006-7 is included where available). You can also get a copy by phoning 0141 287 5369. Further information on the City Council’s performance can be found in our Annual Performance Report which is available in Glasgow City Council libraries.
