Direct and Care Services Performance

Direct and Care Services has continued to place a strong emphasis on the implementation of best value principles. Best value requires councils to develop a performance management and planning (PMP) framework which is about establishing clear standards and targets for all activities, identifying where and how improvements can be made, and reporting on performance.

Direct and Care Services is committed to performance measurement in pursuit of service standards and departmental objectives. The department employs many analytical tools to measure meaningful performance information in all service areas, and will continue to demonstrate progress against its Service Plan 2008-2009 through quarterly financial performance reports to the Parks and Facilities Management Committee and through its Annual Performance Report.
