Equality Policy Consultation

Equality Policy Consultation

The Council is revising its Equality Policy and we would like your views on our proposals.

Glasgow is Scotland's largest City, with a population of about 580,000 people.  The population increasingly includes people from many different backgrounds.

Glasgow City Council is committed to providing high quality services that everyone can use.  As an employer we value diversity and want a workforce that reflects the community we serve.

We first produced an equality policy in 1998 and revised it in 2001.  We now have decided to review the policy to reflect changes in law, changes in our responsibilities and the increasing diversity (differences) of the city's population.
